When the wifi drops
Factory wifi dies. Ours is built for the ten minutes after that, not for pretending it did not happen.
- You keep seeing what you were looking at. Stock, the register, the floor, the dashboard — as they were, with the time we last had them written at the top. Never a blank screen and never a guess.
- The gate keeps working. Attendance and machine breakdowns can still be entered. They wait on that phone — “1 entry saved on this device” — and send themselves the moment the line returns. Nobody presses anything.
- Nothing is pretended. A bill, a payment, a stock movement still needs a connection, and says so. A queued invoice is a lie waiting to be numbered.
- A late refusal is still a refusal. If the server says no when the entry finally sends — the month's wages were approved while you were out — it comes back and tells you, in red, by name.

A dead spot is handled — see above. Running the whole factory with no connection at all — every bill, every payment — is not something we will pretend to do, because the numbers are only trustworthy while one server enforces the rules.
